Even easier, got to the Workspaces window. Right-click on the drive and select "unmount".

Sheesh, it's just a folder. On a disc drive. It's not a particularly major drama in my life right now.
why not let digi do there job and handle this guys, stop acting like a bunch if bigots when people suggest things that are new, and don't tell me you where arguing on my side, once a digi sessions starts there is not way to eject the drives, even after quitting pro tools (on certain computers in fact) so ranting n as if your defending digi for a bug or flaw like this is not a answer but more less proof that no matter how much you help others here or know your still geeks and need to get out for some air !

haha lol

Cool, finally someone has been posting about these folders, i do not think work arounds are good excuses, it could not be that hard for digi to deal with them could it.

So now we are just bigoted geeks?

What happened to the Taliban of PT? I kinda liked that one better.

Mr. Logic,
You need to scroll back the thread and read exactly what I have and have not posted. You seem to be confusing all of our posts with each other, as if we are all just one collective borg responding to each of your solitary individualist free-thinking posts.

Workspace Browser
The Workspace browser provides access to all
your mounted volumes, as well as the folders
and files they contain.
Using the Workspace browser, you can:
• Access all mounted volumes.
• Access all Catalogs.
• Search across multiple volumes and Cata-
logs simultaneously.
• Designate volumes for Record and Play-
back, Playback Only, or Transfer.
• Unmount volumes.
• View, manage, audition, and import indi-
vidual items in any catalog or mounted
volume.
• Update databases for entire volumes.

Mr Logic, many of us here don't see this as a bug or flaw. IMO it's a blessing that Digi have made these databases visible, rather than hiding them from view. If you can't manage to go to the digibase browser to unmount a volume how are you going to go there to rebuild or delete a database folder?

And how is Protools to know that you don't want to use your mp3 player or thumb drive as a transfer volume? That would take some complex AI. If it mounts, it's a volume. If it's a volume, I may want to use it.
