Default OMG - the time between updates is L O N G

I hope Avid fixes the bugs they set out to do and restore the workability of their CORE AUDIO thats been missing for 2 years !

...., as my subscription get nearer to it's expiry date , I can't see the value of renewing it, BUT ...., with the bug-fest thats been left behind with the current version I will have no choice but to renew in the hope that it gets fixed. Maybe that is their plan ? (conspiracy theory)

I hope AVID are currently not palming off their responsibilities again, by wasting more time (and customers subscription periods) working on un-needed features before stabilising the platform

I agree. The updates should be implemented faster! I have the same GUI bug since 12 rolled out. Even after telling Avid tech support after every update...its still not fixed!

I agree too
I won't be renewing if this continues, I can't upgrade my OS coz of Avid, and lots of other applications are in need of updating.

Looks like I am gonna move to Logic....

2015 when the update plans started, updates and new features came faster.
Bugfixes only would be welcome too!

12.5.1 came out in may, 12.5.2 in june.

Are people expecting major new features every two weeks?

12.5 was major release...those are fixes...which they should have addressed already...so personally i don't count them...
We were told that major releases will be frequent...so that's what we paid for...and of course for an application that works...

I don't care for new features at the moment, just long awaited bug fixes!

Whatever release Avid is going to publish, will first go through engineering (to fix or create something) then to beta team (to find out if something else is broken with the fix) and lastly awaits for a go from some suit and tie.

This isn't something you do on a weekly basis, considering the hardware test grid Avid needs to go through with the release to be able to support the "supported software and hardware combinations". Yes, the one you would want to include +10 year old hardware

Back in the day (2002ish) there were these things called "customer support releases" which were not officially supported but fixed some specific bug. I'm sure not many of us would want to go back to that...
