Default LE 8.03cs2 w/ 002 R - Audio Dropouts

A strange problem started occurring today that I've never seen in my near decade of PT experience. I have an 002 Rack hooked up ADAT to a Rosetta 800, 2 channels of which I monitor through. I'm running Leopard 10.5.8 on an 8-core 2.8 ghz Mac Pro. All of a sudden today, the audio started cutting in and out at random times. Not just certain tracks, but the entire master bus. I know that this is NOT happening with the main stereo outs of the 002 which I use as a cue mix; when the dropouts occur, I can still hear the music through headphones which are playing the cue mix. Any idea what could be going on here? I've had this system for quite awhile and have never had this problem. This is happening in any type of session, even one with like two audio tracks and no plugins.

The only thing different today than yesterday in my system is that I updated a couple plugins to their newest version, specifically: Amplitube 2/3, Ampeg SVX, the IK linear phase EQ, TL Aggro, Autotune EVO, and Izotope's Trash, as recommended by the Avid website. I had recently done a fresh reinstall of everything, and noticed that those plugs were one dot version behind. Could one of them be the culprit, even though they are now newer versions of what I had before? I've also been trying EVERYTHING to get away from these damn 9019/9031 errors that are incessantly plaguing me which is why I upgraded the plugins in the first place, but I'm still getting those too. I've trashed prefs, databses, repaired permissions etc, but I'm still getting these problems. Anybody?

Oh BTW I'm also trying the steven slate channel strip demo thing, which is still in beta test, so maybe that could be it?

Ok I unplugged my optical cables and replugged them in tightly, that seems to have done the trick. Weird.

This may not have anything to do with the problem, but you should be on Protools 8.0.4, which is the latest version. It works great with 10.5.8, which is what I'm on. No reason to stay on 8.0.3.
