Default Live recording from Venue Profile possible with Digico UB Madi & PT10 CPTK?

I´m going to record a couple liveshows.
Up until now i used a RME Madiface with Logic.
Worked like a charm.

But: I dont like Logic for recording.

I´d love to use the new Digico Madi --> USB interface and PT10.

I heard that recording from the Venue is only possible with PT HD or HDX.
Is that right?

I use PT10 w/ CPTK, so I/O should be no problem, right?

Sorry for asking such a dumb question, but the Avid Venue specs are not
absolutely clear on that matter.

Thanks!

Brian.

With SC48 you are limited to FireWire interface and 32 channels of IO, no extra hardware needed. Will work with regular Pro Tools 10.

With the other desks, you can choose your add-on recording card, you can choose between FWx (FireWire 32 IO), HDx (64 with one or 128 IO with two cards) or MADI (64 with one or 128 IO with two cards). With HDx or MADI you would need Pro Tools HD software. Please note, that Pro Tools with CPTK will NOT enable you 32+ IO option! http://www.avid.com/US/products/comp...specifications

Also note, that VENUE desks do not come standard with any of the cards (with exception of SC48) and for installing cards in VENUE you need time and some basic tools.

If you have a MADI card, you are not limited to recording with just ProTools. I use Cubase a lot. Recording and Playback words just fabulous with that. I do have to RME Madiface to bring the MADI stream into my computer.
