Default ProTools and Ableton Live - Composing

I have historically composed and mixed in ProTools. I'm finding the new version of Live to be a better place to hatch out ideas though - very inspirational.

So, I have several songs half developed that I want to take to ProTools and finish. But, I don't want to Render / Bounce the tracks out of Live, I'd like to keep the tracks unrendered as I continue to tweak Live FX. For example, I may be using Grain Delay which I don't have a plugin for in ProTools, but I'm still playing with the sound.

I realize I can connect Live via Rewire - so here are my questions.

1) I assume I can just export my MIDI clips and import them into ProTools and set them to play the appropriate Live MIDI track. No real question here, just confirming.

2) What is the best way to launch Live Audio Clips from ProTools? Is it possible? Again, I want to keep the audio clip in Live in order to keep using the Live FX.

3) I have some Absynth and Battery vst plugins in the Live sessions. When I rewire Live and ProTools, it says that these won't load in Live which I can kind of understand. I would just open Absynth and Battery in ProTools, but again, I am using the Live FX on these tracks and want to keep doing so.

Ideas?
Thanks.

I don't get it. Why don't you just use the VSTs on each channels input in PT and tweak the Live FX on your tracks until you get them right and then just record them in PT?

I would think it will net you the same sound unless you originally had those VSTs in between some Live FX and this way they would have to be post-Live.

I'm trying to figure out a way to get the MIDI in Reason or Live to control a PT Instrument without exporting it, again so I can tweak it at will, then record. Got any solutions there?

I think he realizes he can use Live via Rewire.

He realizes that he can use Live in protools with ReWire but he cannot use VST effects in Live when using Live in Pro Tools via ReWire and wants know if there was a way around this.

timmy4402, you will need the VST2RTAS adapter by www.fxpasion.com if you would like to use the VST versions of Absyth and Battery within Pro Tools.

But Absynth and Battery both have RTAS versions...
