Default ProControl front-bottom panel (below faders) query

Hey all,

I want to dress, or put something on the curved metal panels, the ones that sit just below the faders, curve and screw below at the bottom. You know, that metal bit where the paint is more like to start chipping off.

Most specifically, I really like the "rubbery" feel that the ICON has on the same place.

Would anyone know a name for what I am looking for here?

I have a 48 ch. ProControl and for restoring the arm rests I tried a lot of stuff, spray cans, paint and brush, even PlastiDip, but the results were never satisfying.

In the end I solved this problem by glueing one long strip of synthetic leather onto the entire arm rest. You can find foto's of it here and here. Scroll down on both pages to find the appropriate pictures.

If you are interested in this way of working I can explain you step by step how to do it an what's best to avoid i the first place

I'm not sitting in front of my ProControl now, but aren't the arm rest metal? If so, you can have them re-powder coated. I have a relationship with a local conpany that does that kind of stuff.
