audio driver for Digi 002 rack and win 7 x64?

hi all,
sorry if this has been dealt with somewhere else on the forum, but could not find anything, neither in avid's rather confusing/ dated/ endlessly linking support pages....
I installed Win 7 pro x64 and need to install my 002 to work with Cubase. Don't want to go PT 8 as I don't need it much, still on 7.3 on my XP partition.
I found the link given by a friendly user for the 8.04 beta drivers, but why is there no official support by avid for this??
Or is there?
