would be great to get pics of this 'master section' you speak of here in seattle. I would really appreciate it. If you need some rain, I could arrange a trade....

I saw the Edit Pack at AES and thought it was a great addition, however the expected price as quoted by the Digi guys was more like in the 7K range. I thought this to be quite expensive for a couple of joysticks a keyboard, trackball and $900.00 Gallery edit keyboard. I say all this as someone who sprung for the full 32 channel Pro Control for my new room. At this price, I will look into some other custom arrangement and have it built into the desk the Pro Control will be housed in. I'm not sure Digi can substantiate the cost on this one.
Just my observations,

Digi, please tell us a little bit more about the edit pack. A features list would be nice.

What do we know about this allready:

1. qwerty keyboard with shortcut colors
2. trackball
3. big metersection with multiple time-display.
4. 2 joysticks for surround mixing

What else ???????????????????????????

Q's :

1. what are all the buttons above the joysticks for ??? extended monitor section ??? editing buttons ???

2. Can I play Carmageddon with the joysticks when PC is offline ????

buttons above the joysticks are dedicated edit buttons. I can't remember any specifics, but it's basically shortcuts for commands that they didn't have room on the QWERTY keyboard for. I wish I could tell you that they're user definable, but sadly they aren't.

they should write a version of Robotron for the joysticks. that'd be awesome.

Played with the Edit pack at the AES, awsome piece of equipment, especially if you have to mix in surround format.
Price quoted was $7995, shipping in January 2001
