has PT9 been completely dropped?

So I once again, am trying to download and install my copy of PT9 on my new Mac which is running 10.8.5 and I cannot find a link which will actually work. The link provided when I log in says that it cant connect to server because the server cant be found....

Par for the course with my AVID experiences. I need to use my copy, will not give AVID money to upgrade to PT11 as I gave AVID too much money in such a short time to have PT9, then less than a year later they release PT10. I have a feeling I am out of luck on this.

Go to www.avid.com...

At the top of the page, click "Sign In / Register".

Log on with the user name and password you used when you created your Avid account.

Under "Products", click the "My Products and Subscriptions" link.

Click the name of your program.

Next to "Product Details and Download Links" click "Show".

You will then be able to see your downloads.

Logged into your account and checked both the 9.0.2 and 9.0.5 Mac installers - both are downloading correctly for me. If you are having trouble with another file please specifiy which one it is. Otherwise, try clearing your browser's cache or try another browser and let us know if that doesn't help.

To the op:
And when you do get the download - save it in a good place so that when you have to reinstall it you have it right at your fingertips. I save all my downloads off to either a separate drive or dvd.

I also got a message in my email account from a AVID person who told me that I actually DO NOT have a copy of PT 9 registered which is crazy as Ive gone through the entire process to purchase, download and install PT9.

Wish they actually cared about the independent engineer base that are not making enough to justify buying into a HD or HDX system.

I really want to like Pro Tools I swear..... I ran the 30 day demo of 11 and I liked it but Im just not gonna buy yet another version......

You may have purchased, downloaded and installed PT9 in the past but did you actually register it?

If you purchased PT 9 but if it's not registered, you'll need to do it before upgrading ...
In other cases, if you don't find your PT9 licence registration, you may ask the process here [email protected]. That's the email who send us our registration stuff when we register all our products.
And if nothing works fine and upgrade is not possible. If you are student, you've got special price for full product.
You can also find on the web special offer with Mbox mini + Pt 11 with interesting price (not far from the the upgrade price ...)
