Default To many Waves presets, studio rack help

Hey guys!

I've got two problems

One: When I instantiate a studio rack plugin in Pro Tools and create a preset, I can't seem to find out where to delete that preset. It was fine at first, but it seems when I close my session I can't update the preset and instead have to create a new one.

I really need to delete the old versions.

Two: Whenever I downloaded and installed the plugin studio rack, all of the Waves plugins disappears from Pro Tools and I can only access them with studio rack. I'm not sure what's going on but I'd like to fix it. In Logic, all the plugins show up fine.

Any help would be appreciated.

-Josh

Ouch. This is a very odd one.

1st things first, completely uninstall Waves. Run the installer, then manually double check your Waves cache/prefs files are trashed - then reinstall

I have never seen or heard of this. never ever ever.

If a full uninstall and reinstall doesn't solve it, it's time to call Waves Tech Support

Thanks for the help.

I might actually trying emailing waves first with a screen shot.

One thing I don't want to do is loose everything since there are some presets I'm actively using.

I just got off the phone with Waves (awesome tech support btw) and both problems are solved.

To delete a preset in studio rack, you just simply hold the command key and then press the load button. This will bring up the menu with an option to delete certain presets.

The missing plugins was simple once we figured it out. When I installed studio rack, it uses waveshell 9.7 which moved waveshell 9.3 to the plugins (unused) folder. Since the standalone plugins reference 9.3, they didn't show up in Pro Tools.

I hope this helps anyone who runs into a similar issue.

Good job posting your findings!

So often people don't, and the DUC ends up with a bunch of threads about a problem that was solved six months earlier.

I'm sure everyone here thanks you...
