Default ProTools Solo while connected to S6L

We have a new Avid S6L-32D digital mixer. Using AVB, I've connected a Mac mini and installed a licensed version of ProTools 2020. Everything works great. ProTools tracks are automatically named from the S6L. Signals look great. Virtual playback of the recorded tracks back through the S6L is perfect. My question is, how can I solo a channel in ProTools while live recording or doing virtual playback? Output channels are mapped back to the S6L.

You might post this in the S6L forum, but for now, I would simply solo things on the S6L(what you hear there is what goes to PT).

Thanks for the reply. I'll go check on the S6L forum. I thought about doing that. However, the engineer is using the S6L to run sound for the FOH. I don't think he would appreciate me reaching across him and mashing SOLO buttons.

If he's doing a good job, I'd just let him mix and trust things will be good(with a good engineer, this is usually true). If you're watching meters and not seeing clipping, maybe its time to relax and learn to let go a little
