Default Subscriptions issue

Hi.

I have a Perpetual license. My annual support subscription ran out in December. As I am happy with the version that I am on I did not want to renew the support for this year.

I also have the Complete Plug-in Bundle as a subscription which has recently renewed. I checked the details with Avid in December and was happy to just keep the plug-in subscription.

However, when I open Pro Tools this week I have had a couple of messages saying "Eleven MK II subscription expires in 7 days" or words to that effect.

Am I missing some information here. Is the Complete Plug-in Bundle a separate subscription or is it dependant on the support subscription in some way??

Thanks,

T

I think the plugin bundle requires active support plan, or separate rental plan if you do not wish to pay the yearly support fee. If you are still on youre grace period, I would advise to renew.

Next question then. How can I actually speak to someone at Avid to discuss my options? The Avid website and phone contact numbers make this seemingly impossible.

Thanks

Why is it not possible to discuss product costs with the company I am purchasing from?

Do Avid make it deliberately impossible to communicate with them?

No but it seems you are in a hurry with your grace periodso just make it easier for you and call someone who answers quickly

But I am purchasing through Avid. I have no requirement to involve anyone else.

Just a suggestion. Price for you is same from authorised reseller, and those have incentive to make sale so are more hepful. Once you run out of your grace period, instead of "renewal" you need to buy "reinstatement" which Avid does not sell any longer.
