Default Anyone using a MIX 888|24 with a 192 I/O?

I've got an HD3 system with a 192 I/O and a MIX 888|24 for headphone mixes. I'm thinking of upgrading to HDX.

I know the 192 I/O will still work with Pro Tools 10, but will the 888|24 still work on the 192 expansion port?

I can't seem to find a clear answer for this.

I think I remember that they won't with the newer HD interfaces at all even in TDM .

Hi phatbeatstudio,

I wasn't asking about the new HD interfaces; I've got an old blue-faced Digidesign 192 I/O with a MIX 888|24 connected to it.

I'm trying to find out if the 888|24 will still work with the old 192 if I upgrade to PT10 HDX.

Thanks!

Yes it will work. I've got one connected to my 192 in pro tools 10HD. It works fine. The 1622 and 882 also work, but there is no technical support, so if you have problems you're on your own.

Hi j32smith,

According to the Avid FAQ, the blue interfaces DO work with HDX cards. If you've got an 888|24 working off a 192 with Pro Tools 10 it gives me hope.

Quote:
Q: Will Pro Tools|HDX support my older Pro Tools|HD interfaces, such as the 192 I/O, 192 Digital I/O, 96 I/O, 96i I/O, and the blue SYNC or SYNC HD?
A: Yes it will, but you should consider taking advantage of the discounted exchange pricing on newer Pro Tools HD Series interfaces, because Pro Tools 10 will be the last official major release to support the older ("blue") Avid interfaces.

So...is anyone using a MIX 888|24 with a 192 I/O AND an HDX card?

Won't work or just not supported?
192 still works with Native.

sorry what i meant is that. I don't think that a 888 will connect to and new HD interface. The 192i/o does work as usual now ,but if the 888 doesnt work next year the 888 will not connect to the new HD. This is my very ofter wrong understanding .
