AVID DOES NOT ANSWER THE PHONES !!! they hang Up !!!
I have another ticket that I need to open and now 4 !!! I call the support line and after 5 minutes it HANGS UP !!!!
My HD I/O won't record !!! No signal seems to go IN ... It plays back properly but not able to record anything.... Through the BUS I can record a track on another track. My Console and the cables have not moved !!! None of the 8 inputs work !!! |

Go to your i/o setup and make sure it’s configured correctly.

Re-installed HD Driver. Ran Digitest, (all good) opened my saved i/o config, switched back and forth +4 and -10 on the setup and there you go... working again.
While doing that, stayed on the line waiting for support (my fifth call, this one stayed on without the automatic hang up). Nobody answered the call.... again "Tech Support" where are you when you need them? |

I found the best way to get them is by opening a ticket online once you log into your account.
They usually get back within 24 hrs. I also think they rely on this board to help with many of the issues folks are having. Perhaps not ideal. C

I am pretty sure avid phone tech support is a call center that reads off a script. Outsourced to some phone bank. If you call enough you will eventually be escalated to the 1 person at an actual avid office that handles technical issues. But if you are a large post facility in Hollywood you have your own avid rep so they send out a 3rd party tech to fix your stuff.
