MMC to Motu MIDI Express
I am attempting to use Pro Tools as the transport for Neve VR Automation, using a Motu MIDI Express XT.
The setup is as follows. The Motu is the master clock and is sending timecode to the Neve and to Protools. This is works fine. But i want pro tools to be my transport, and not the Motu Express Software. I thought i could use MMC in Protools to simultaneously control the Motu while also receiving timecode back so everything is synced. This too seems to work fine. My problem is that while Protools is in MMC mode, it does not want to spit out any Audio....... What am i doing wrong? Or can anyone suggest a better solution to this ??? thank you |

Re: MMC to Motu MIDI Express
Sounds like you probably have a good number of outputs. Easiest method would be to record Ltc into protools from the motu and then play that back out a spare output into flying faders Ltc input.
This way, time code will be generated each time protools transport is in play |
