Default PT 11, 002, and Mavericks

I see that drivers for Digi002 rack is listed as 'untested'. Anyone here know if the provided driver will work, or am I SOL? I was hoping to put a small rig together w/ a Mini + 002 rack as the interface, but now it seems I have to spring for an i/o as well?

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Drivers have just been release for the 002 adding Mavericks support. The 002 is listed as untested for Pro Tools 11 (any OS) as it is EOL. I think the audio interface is working, but no control surface. At least that's what I recall reading on the forums, search around.

Here are the latest drivers:http://avid.force.com/pkb/articles/d...02-003-Drivers Pro Tools only supports Mavericks with version 10.3.9 or 11.0.3.

I have tried 002 with Pro Tools 11.0.3 and Mavericks and this seems to work fine, also the control surface. With PT 10.3.6 the audio interface was working, but no controls.

Great, thanks guys. That was pretty much my question. If I get a new Mac it will ship with Mavericks, and thus when I cross grade I will have to go to 11. Just wanted to know if I could hang with the 002 for a while, until I grab a new interface.

Cheers.

I just installed the new drivers for the Digi 002, and have the console. I am running Pro Tools 11 and Mavericks. After fiddling with a few different sound devices in system prefs I found AVID 002, a new one for me, and it worked. Even the faders on the console worked! GREAT. I haven't done any serious testing, but will do in the next few days. I was VERY happy, to say the least.... saved me a bundle of money for a new sound card. Cheers BERT in Sweden

For anyone still interested, Just letting you all know that I have been using the Digi 002 Console also with Pro Tools 11 for a while now too. I am using a Mac Mini 2.6 GHz i7 with 16 GB of RAM also running Windows 8.1 with BootCamp.

The Console and interface work great on Mavericks but I can only get the unit to function as an interface in Windows 8.1 on the same Machine. It may be that my OSX is stale and needing hard drive space but Pro Tools seems to run way faster and smoother on the fresh install of Windows 8.1. but , Still no console controls there.
Paired together with an Eleven Rack, and a MOTU 8Pre this is still a Great Home studio centerpiece solution for me.

I had a problem with the 002 where the Hardware tab would not pulldown so I couldn't change the sampling rate there.
