2011 MacBook Pro/PT9 Graphics Freeze

I just got a new quad i7 MacBook Pro 17" with Mac OS 10.6.7. Pro Tools 9.0.2 plays perfectly but has a graphics freeze every 10 seconds or so.

Are you using Dual displays?

No, it could be because it's a special OS build for the Intel Sandy Bridge and different graphics environment. I'll have to wait and see if others have this problem.

ive been having the graphics freeze aswell. Its 9.0.2. Id say its not every ten seconds for me, more like every 6 or 7 minutes I get some slow movement on the whole edit or mix window for about 10 seconds. meters freeze and the mouse gets choppy. After a few seconds everything goes back to normal.

But Ive also been getting unusual CPU errors. I wonder if they are related.

Are you using VCC or any other plugins with iLok2? If I load VCC plugin in any session I get this freezes... No VCC, no freezes.

Lot of people getting this with VCC...

My guess is that the computer is looking for and / or comunicating with iLok2.

No VCC, iLok1, Tried removing all non-Avid plug-ins when this first happened...... no change. PT 9.0.2 HD works perfectly on my Hackintosh.
