Default PT 6.8.1(M-BOX2) consolidate selection need help!

hi
the protools 6;8.1 support the consolidate selection ? (menu edit)
mine is always disabled!!! (greyed)javascript:void(0)
so i can't consolidate any parts of track or region in one new part of track.
i have to change somethings in the preference of protools?
this feature is compatible with this version of protools?
any answer can help me

I don't quite understand your questions ... but I can tell you that the "Consolidate Selection Command" under the Edit menu does work on the MBox II with Pro Tools Vers. 6.8.1 ...

If the "gain" plugin had become corrupt, modified, or removed from the plugin's folder... "Consolodate Audio" will not work in pro-tools.

Re-install Pro-Tools, or put the Gain Plugin back, if you removed it from Library/application support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins

make sure you have seected the regions you want to consolidate before going to the menu

was just this my problem!!!
i removed the gain plug from the folder plug in.
i just reinstalled protools and now work fine for me!!
never i found the solution without your help.
