Default Warning: Volumes unsuitable for playback

I've been using a new Maxtor One Touch II for the last few weeks without any problems. LE will playback 32 tracks just fine. I shut the system down for a one day break. Upon trying to use it again for my remixes the "check disk allocation" window pops up followed by a message saying "audio files are on volumes unsuitable for playback. Would you like to copy them to a suitable volume?" I assume the Maxtor is a suitable volume since I've been using it for weeks. I have used about 40 of 300 gig. I don't have another drive to be able to substitute. Any ideas?
Thanks.

Go into Windows/Show Workspace and make sure that drive is set to R (record). For some reason they can change to T or P. This should do it.
