Having problem with 1 shortcut

Used to be I could hit "Apple/Option" and change the nudge value with the +/- keys. Until the other day, when I tried it and now the entire edit window screen zooms way in with the "+" key and way out with the "-" key. It's kind of funny actually, seeing the I-beam be as tall as the monitor, but not very useful. I or someone else working on the system may have hit some wierd key combo, but we can't get it back. Anyone know what this is?

Go to System Preferences, go to the Universal Access Panel and click on Turn Off Zoom (or type <COMMAND/OPTION 8>).
