Creating web videos with selectable audio
I'm putting together some demo videos for a web site. The idea is to have a video with three stereo audio tracks. Buttons would allow the visitor to hear Audio 1, Audio 2, or Audio 3 as the video plays. This would allow the visitor to compare the three audio tracks by selecting any one of them at will while the video is playing.
I've got the videos and the audio tracks, but I don't have the slightest idea how to create the web delivery vehicle. Any ideas or pointers are welcome and appreciated! |

Re: Creating web videos with selectable audio
Hi!
How do you host the videos, with streaming server or for download? If for download, you can use mp4 or mkv container, in this you can mux some audio streams(aac,dd,..) and after this, its switchable with vlc player, mpc home etc. If you encoding the video, you can make a h264 video stream with the option for streaming use. With this, the user must not fully downlaod the video, he can see it after some seconds if its enough buffered. May be you can write your website with a vlc or other webplayer plugin, that support the audio option with more streams? |
