Noise Reduction plugs not working. Any ideas?

Hey all,

I'm using a Mac Pro running 12.5 PTHD Native and Yosemite.

I'm trying to use RX5 or X-Noise to clean up some files. I've done this a million times in the past, although not necessarily on PT12/Yosemite.

When I launch either of those plugs via Audiosuite, each one has a LEARN function. Normally, when I hit the LEARN button and feed it a few seconds of the bad noise, the graphs do their thing and come up with a noise profile.

But now, when I hit LEARN on either program and feed it the sound, nothing happens. No learning. No graph changes. Just like nothing happened.

Any suggestions? Can't figure out what the problem is...

Same here. I use the transfer audio suite plug now (in the Izotope menu). I like it more as I can do more things in the "real" program. The transfer is very fast.

Make selection, press speaker icon, then press learn - doesn't that work?

My method takes longer(since I never grasped yours). I insert the plugin and use the LEARN function. Then I save the settings as a preset, open the Audiosuite version and call up the preset, and render(removing the insert as well). I will dig deeper on the suggestions above

Also, make sure that Use in Playlist is in blue(if not, then your processed audio clip is sitting in the clips bin, but not in your track)

I forgot to include this yesterday. I got the impression that the sequence of button presses are crucial in certain circumstances?

PS: It doesn't matter with RX4 Advanced in PT 12.5.2.

hi, is the transfer function ONLY in advanced or all versions of RX5 .. just upgraded and have not had a chance to use as a plugin yet ..

If the "Transfer function" being referenced is Connect, it's part of the standard version. I use it a ton. Worth the price of admission by itself, IMHO.
