Error (-61) opening old PT8 HD's session into PT10

I'm experiencing the following error while trying to open a PT8 HD session into PT10:

Could not complete the Open Session... command because Read/write permission doesn't allow writing (-61) while reading "myprojectname.pft"

I've already checked files permissions (all files in project are R/W enabled) and owners (everything under myuser:staff).

I'm running PT 10.3.5 on OSX 10.8.3.

Does anybody out there had and solved the same issue?

Hi,

Try using import session data and see if you get the same error.

Where is the session located? have you tried placing the session on a different hard drive. maybe the system drive just to check.

so the hard drive and the partition and folder have all been set to read and write for everyone. right click, get info, sharing and permissions. privilidges set to read and write then lock the folders, log out and back in again and try.

after trying everything you suggested, without success, I managed to open the (almost complete) session using the last session's backup from Session File Backup.

hence, I suppose the problem was the original session file been corrupted while copying it from a hard drive to another. no other explanation occurs to me.
