Default Waves 7.1 on Mountain Lion/PT 10

Hi,

anyone tried to install the RTAS versions of Waves 7.1 on Mountain Lion using Protools 10 with HDX cards?

We´re using the Diamond bundle V7.1 on PT HD2 V8 on Windows and recently upgraded to PT10 on HDX running on MAC OSX 10.8.

Not sure if it´s worth installing the Waves 7.1 RTAS versions as on Waves site only V9 are showed as compatible with PT10.

Thanks

Hopefully someone who's tried it can answer your question.

But you may want to think about WUPing your bundle, not only for compatibility, but because you'll get a whole bunch of plugins that have been added since 7.1, including V-Series, GTR3, and Waves Loudness Meter. All for no more than $300.

Plus you get rid of the iLok in the new system (but get to keep your old V7 licenses in case you need to revert to an older system).

Thinking of getting rid of Waves instead... contacted them via their site contact form regarding upgrade info and compatibilities and didn´t get an answer after 12 days.
The problem is that we have hundreds of sessions saved under V8 that are using their plugins and might need to be reopened on V10. Four PT TDM systems four Diamond bundles and a manufacturer that doesn´t answer your questions. Nice!

Don't know why they have not been able to contact you, but try again and force the issue. If you have active WUP they should respond within 24 hours.
