Default New Macbook Pro 13 compatible?

Just picked up a current model 13" MBP. 2.3ghz I5 proc. This is the thunderbolt version.

Compat docs only show MBP 13's from 2008 as approved.

Anyone running pt9 on this? any probs?

Thanks in advance for any feedback :)

The new MCP's were released with SL.

I believe there is a special PT 9.0.4 for these.

Don't think there is a special version of Pro Tools for them. There is a 9.0.4 but that is for Pro Tools HD, I'm almost certain. Also I'm pretty sure Apple is doing there best to make sure all new macs being sold have 10.7 installed. I don't know that for a fact, but it will definitely determine what to do next.

it's pre-loaded with 10.6.7. haven't tried PT9 on it yet, just wondering if everyone's having good results with this version.

In that case I think you're good to go. They ought to be pretty beastly. My MBP has done me well and it isn't any where near as powerful.

We are both half right.

9.04 HD Native, MACpro 17" w TB version.

If it is preloaded with 6.7, you are good to go.

It doesn't have Firewire. The Thunderbolt adapters are not available yet. Until they are, you may not be able to run PT properly.

The only Thunderbolt drives I have seen yet are RAIDs. RAID is not supported for PT.
