Alt+[ keyboard shortcut problem

When I try to use the above shortcut "Alt+[" to play an Edit Selection it plays the Timeline Selection instead (both are in different locations in Pro Tools).

And if I try to use the "Alt+]" shortcut (wich is supposed to play the Timeline Selection) it just doesn't do anything - nothing happens.

The same occurs with all the other shortcuts using the "[" and "]" keys but as long as I can say all the other keyboard shortcuts are working properly in my system.

Please, help me.

make sure that your keyboard is set to English. That is my only big idea.

I had already tried that with no success.

But I finally got the answer. All I have to do is use the "´" key on my computer keyboard and it works as if it was the "[" key - and, as a said before, the "[" key works as it was the "]" key.

I'm from Brazil and all keyboards here have a "´" key and also other accentuation keys I think english keyboard doesn't - so that's the orign of the problem.

Thanks a lot again. I'm new to Pro Tools and I'm learning a lot from this forum.
