feature suggestion
I've come up with a feature suggestion for a future version of PT and wanted to "run it up the flagpole" and "see if anybody salutes";
I'm assuming that many of us duplicate playlists to keep previous versions of tracks as we edit. Unfortunately, I'll occasionally forget to duplicate a playlist and the client will ask me to go back to the original material (or to some middle point in the editing process). In this case, I'll import session data from a previous "save as" or from a "back-up session". This works, but it has been happening often enough for me to try to think of a better solution. How about this feature; whenever we choose to "save session as" or "save session copy" we have a checkbox to "DUPLICATE ALL PLAYLISTS". This means that the new session would have all playlists duplicated up one number automatically. We could then continue editing with confidence that we can always flip back to previous playlists. Anyone think that this is a good idea? Anyone have a better way to implement it? |
