Control|24 and ProControl with Pro Tools 11?

At least PT10 is reliable. I have never seen such a messed up, buggy, cranky version as 11.

c'mon avid - just do it. write the drivers. just feed the code thru that little 32>64bit conversion app you have.

That is really scary. It's not like TDM cards which use completely different DSP technology. These are control surfaces. They also are studio consoles. People build studios around studio consoles. The furniture, wiring... Pro Tools 10 is great and it will be for many more years. Use your Pro Control and Control 24 for as long as they live. Do not upgrade to Pro Tools 11 or 12 or whatever it will be in future. It's Avid's loss, not yours.

It's not as if there is a "hit maker" button in 11 that isn't in 10.
So for me with my Control 24, my funds are now spent on outboard and plugins rather than the Avid software/hardware.

A driver for ProControl or at least an alternative controller... Just bought an S3 and I'm not happy... Doesn't even come close to working on a ProControl.

Tomorrow is the NAMM show in Anaheim California.

Anybody passing the Avid booth, please question them about legacy control surface support. This subject will affect all control surface users eventually - not just those current owners of Pro Control and Control|24.

Let them know that a simple 64bit driver code update being deliberately ignored is simply unacceptable.
