Re: Pro Tools 2018 use with 192 I/O [solved]
Good afternoon friends of the forum, I'm in Brazil and my first doubt:
I have a 192i blue, next to a HD Core board, currently running 10HD protools. Will it work with Protools 2018? Anyone using hd core card, acell etc with this system, or would it just work via omni? Thank you |

The 192 (with adapter cables) will continue to work with the new cards (HDX) made by Avid.

As said, HD is not supported with 64bit PT starting with 11.0 so you will need either HDX or HDN -- but you can still use the old blue-faced DigiDesign branded interfaces. The new smaller DigiLink connector is electrically compatible with the original larger DigiLink connector, all you need is an adapter. As long as you have a card with the new small connectors (HDX/HDN) that are supported with PT11 and later.

Hi, welcome to the community.
Have you upgraded lately? Since PT12.6 you also need a DigiLink i/o license

Yes. Though be aware that the old blue DigiDesign branded interfaces are not supported, but are still working as always.

Re: Pro Tools 2018 use with 192 I/O [solved]
I was told the only reason 192s aren't officially supported is that a chip they use is no longer available as a service part.
