Default Re: new session prefs

DID YOU TRY SETTING UP A SESSION TEMPLATE?
SETUP A SESSION WITH ALL THE SETTINGS THAT YOU LIKE. THEN SAVE THE SESSION. CLOSE THE SESSION. LOCATE THE SESSION FILE AND CHOOSE- FILE "GET INFO" (MAC). CLICK THE STATIONARY PAD CHECK BOX AND CLOSE THE WINDOW.
NOW YOU HAVE A SESSION TEMPLATE WITH ALL YOUR PARAMETERS THE WAY YOU LIKE IT.

Default new session prefs

Is there any way to have new sessions default to certain bit and sample rates? It always comes up as 24bit, 48k. It's really annoying since I work in 16bit, 44.1k.

...or maybe I should check the manual...
