Thumbs down The horizontal scroll function (Left to right) in PTS8, the MIDI editing window

The horizontal scroll function (Left to right) in PTS8, the MIDI editing window do not work as It should it is toooooo slow, why does it not work the same as the main time line window or PTS main recording view window in 8.0.3?

I am sure this could be an over sight or a bug possible, I can't see that this would be normal operation hence the fact that a small utility called: pt_8_horizontal_scroll_fix_1.0 was created for just the function to resolve this problem, the scrolling in the main window scrolling horizontal window work fine.

I use a small utility called: pt_8_horizontal_scroll_fix_1.0, to work without the issue of being extremely slow in the Midi Edit window.

Doe anyone know when Digi will fix this?..........It started in version PTS 8, then we got v8.0.1, now 8.0.3 and still this is not addressed yet!?

Do you guys want to tell that I am the only one that has picked this up?
Sure there are others as well.........is this a note issue in PTS8?

I'll have to say yes on this one. You are indeed the first to pick this up and make it known that I'm aware of. I myself don't use the MIDI editor at all. All my MIDI work is done inline in the Edit window.

I can repro this behavior and confirm it. It's definitely an issue that should be looked into.

MEW scrolling right to left and left to right is roughly the same speed on my configuration. Edit Window scrolling right to left and left to right is roughly the same speed on my configuration however there is a difference in speed between the Edit Window and a MEW and I believe the MEW is slower by design.

I find this intriguing, because like Shane, I too mainly use the edit view - but I do use the MIDI editor for intricate touch-ups in the performance, mainly because the MIDI editor feels like a program-within-the-program, ie, could stand all on it's own.

So I do like to use it, but haven't really noticed the gripe your refering to.
Could you perhaps elaborate on it?
When I'm in the MIDI editor, everything that I work on is zoomed in to fit the screen so I don't think I've ever needed to scroll.

Yes and this is the sort of functionality I think Digi was trying to achieve. Arrangement navigation in the Edit Window (Region View) and event data editing with a Targeted MEW (Note View - Superimposed).
