Default Using digi003 and pro tools 8 - no signal on analog 5-6 any ideas?

Hello everyone

I am trying to perform a very simple task here, however for some reason I have problems, and I was wondering if anyone could shaed some light on the matter?

I am using Pro Tools on a windows 7 64 bit pc, together with a 003 control surface.
At present I have to real-to-real-machines here (Revox PR99). I want to digitise the content from both machines, the content from the first revox on track 1, and the content from the secont revox on track 2.
Pretty easy, I thaught, so I created 2 new stereo audio tracks in pro tools, plugged in the 2 revoxes via the analog 5-8 inputs on the back of the 003, and then routed the two signals to tracks 1 and 2 respectivly via the I/O setup. I got signal at once on analog 7-8 from Revox 1, however for some reason nothing at all on analog 5-6! I have of course tried both revoxes in the analog 7-8 input on the back of the 003, and I can confirm that there are perfectly fine signal on both cables. However each time I am using analog 5-6 I get nothing!
I have been trawling through the 003 manual to see if I could find an explanation for this behaviour but no luck I'm afraid.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing the lack of signal?

All the best from Allan

In addition, there are level switches on the back for each pair(5&6, 7&8) to choose between -10 and +4, so check those
