Default Auto Spot Regions???

Hi all this is my 1st time on the forum.

Here is a quick intro on my self.

Im, entering my 3rd year at uni, studying Sound Engineering + Design.

I'm a self confessed geek.I love it.

A quick question please.

What does the Auto Spot Region command actually do.

I understand it's Control + P.

Is it possible to Auto Spot multiple regions in one stroke?

What does it do???

Thanks

If you have access to an HD system, you might try experimenting with your questions. Not only will you get the answer, you will probably find a few more tricks buried in your search. Or there is some interesting pertinent stuff in the manual. Or do a search of this site for auto+spot. Good Hunting. SB

Auto spot region is a feature that helps you to postion/move regions on particular timecode, without opening a spot dialogue. It'l need VITC or Serial Timecode to work properly. You could also use sync points when droping regions.

I've always wished that Auto Spot (or some command) would allow a region (or regions) to be dragged out of the region list onto a track and automatically spot to their time stamp, bypassing the "Spot" dialogue box. This would be incredibly useful for my music editing work.
