Default Triton and Digi002 Midi Time Sync Problem

Hi, Im new to this forum, and I have a problem. I have my Triton slaved to the Digi002. The triton only has 5 outputs, and I sometimes have up to 12 tracks to record. So I record the first 5 tracks. They sync fine. When I go to record the next five, It is not synced with the first 5 I recorded. I usually start with a 4 bar click, so you can tell right from the beginning that it is starting at a different time. I know I could jut nudge the tracks but, what is the point of using the sync if I will have to do that evertime. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

how do you have your midi hooked up?

i have mine slaved like you but i do it like this:

go 4 out of triton to pts
then use the button on the transport in protools 'wait for note"
set the triton to external control in the global mode
then, when you want to record, press play on the triton (the 1.00.00 will turn to 1.00.---)
then hit record/play on the computer and you are in biz

Yes I have it slaved to Protools and set to external control. I will try the wait for note function when I get home. I can rember though trying to hit play on the triton before with this setup and nothing would happen. I will try it though. Thanks for the help.
