I can now load the lounge lizard while in Pro Tools, but it makes a horrible high-pitched feedback noise when I open it.

If there is a DUC Quote of the Month, this could be it!
Have you tried a $5 in the brandy snifter sitting on the piano?
Thank you very much... I'll be here all week.
Try the veal...

Yes--they aren't getting back to me...

Robotboy, have you contacted AAS tech support?

When you say "Getting back to me" I'm assuming you contacted them by email? Due to spam filters, email is really an unreliable way to get tech support. You really should call them:

Eastern time : Monday - Friday 10 - 6
Pacific time: Monday - Friday 7 - 3

North America toll free - 1 888 441 8277
Outside North America - 1 514 871 8100

$250 is a lot of dough to spend on something that doesn't work.

Thanks. Looks like I'm screwed! They e-mailed me back and said it's not supported with PT 6.4, so that's that--unless anyone on this forum has an idea of how I could still get it to work

Maybe it's time to upgrade after all...

... been said before (almost), but this takes you there:

Yes, it means spending again, but then, as well as paid-for VSTs, you get access to LOADS of freeware VIs and plug-ins. Fill up until your system falls over!

By the way, you'll probably find the VST-RTAS "wrapper" cheaper through local dealers - I did. Although if you want it fast, download it from the site above.

I wouldn't stand for that. The Windows section of their website says nothing about PT7 and above... only the Mac section does.

As I see it you have 3 options.
1) You call them and demand your money back, using the arguement I've stated above.
2) You go for the VST Wrapper. But be warned, the wrapper is little better than a work around. Altough many have great success with it, I never liked it personally.
3) Time to get the 003.

Good luck. Let us know how you got on.

I'd have to say that the wrapper has been absolutely fine for me - it's a pretty good "workaround"! What have your issues been?

The VST-RTAS thing seemed to work, but then, as I stated above:
"I can now load the lounge lizard while in Pro Tools, but it makes a horrible high-pitched feedback noise when I open it."

Maybe I'm running it incorrectly? Something with the aux and the busses? It works fine as a stand alone. I think I may be doing something else wrong, something that is not the software, but something in PT.
thanks
