Default Tips on looping part of a song?

Hey guys,
trying to loop part of a song but it's hard for me to make my separation just right. Get a click or something in there each time i try and it is starting to get a little frustrating. I believe I am making my separations when the wave form is passing zero all the way zoomed in. Any tips on how you guys do this? I feel it should be very easy but for some reason I am having a hard time. Thank you!

-John

Hey John... use "Tab to Transients" to select the "Earliest Transient" in your multi Track selection, both for your "In Separation" and your "Out Seperation".

Then, when you've selected the perfect loop point (You can make your selection and audition how it's going to sound, by puting Pro-Tools transport in Loop Playback)

And if it's really good, accept for a "Little pop" you're ok

- Stop Playback
- Make your selection
- Cmd+D (To duplicate the loop the number of times you want it to appear in the time line)

**TIP**
If you want the rest of the song to be "Pushed back in the timelie AFTEr the loop, do the Cmd+D in "Shuffle Mode

- Highlight the entire track (Cmd+A)
- Cmd+F to open Fade dialog
- Set the Fade dialog, to create a 5ms Fade at every edit (This will get rid of the loop "pop's")

Good luck.

Seriously great instructions. Tab to transients and Cross Fading made me able to do this loop in 60 seconds when i was working on it for over an hour before.
