Default I feel like a millionaire on a desert island

I have tried the demo of PT11 and the extra processing that 64bit gives is fantastic. However as most of the plug ins I use have not yet caught up I have nothing to spend this processing power on.

Anyone else feel like this?

Al

As long as at least Waves and Slate don't come forward, I'm sure many people feel that same way.
I know, nowadays it's hip to say "Waves is crap", but they really aren't and I know a whole lot of engineers who need those to do their everyday work.

Sure, these transition pains are frustrating, but within another 90 days I think we will be to the point where we will never look back.

I still haven't upgraded Waves after they stopped using iLok. I'm not a fan of iLok but at least all my licences were in one place and I'm not using more USB ports. I know about the cloud but I also know one day I might be somewhere without internet access (yes they still exist).

Re Slate, I quite like the Slate stuff. I have some of his drums and I think the VCC sounds great.

After recent events I wouldn't mind if Pace went under completely. I have no sympathies for them anymore, and I like Wave's approach a lot. If every company used a USB-key based authorization system, you could simply exchange this stupid iLok key with a simple universal USB-key, that on top is a lot cheaper than this Pace-crap.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion I guess.

I tend to agree. Although I'm not sure it's as secure as Pace scheme for manufacturers. So ultimately maybe not as good for us...
