Default Up-converting whole session?

I have an old session at 44.1 / 24 (from when I had a slower computer). I have a fast comp now and want to do a bunch of overdubs, including lead vocals, and was thinking I should probably do them at 48/24 at least.

1) Is there a way to up convert a whole session, without creating a new session at the higher rates and importing all the audio... ie. can I up-convert from within the existing session?

2) Is is worth it to up convert?

1. You can use the "Save Session Copy" command from the file menu to change a session's parameters, including sample rate and bit depth.

2. In my opinion, no. You're unlikely to gain any improvement.

converting to 48 from 44.1 will actually degrade your sound quality due to the math involved. if you up-convert to 88.2 (where your existing audio wouldn't be chopped up) it's possible you'd gain quality with the new tracks, but as to how noticeable this would be i'm not sure.
