issue with Expanded Desktop (3 Monitors)
I just cleaned-house and updated my Protool’s computer with the new 27” iMAC (OSX 10.15.2) as well as adding (2) additional Dell monitors to expand the desktop. Also updated Protools to PT 2019.12.
Every thing seems to work without any issues…it’s been a rather quick & smooth transition….except…..when recalling a session, both the Mix and Edit windows don’t recall-back to the positions on the desktop that they were last stored . For instance: I have the Dell monitor #1 dedicated for the Edit Window; Dell Monitor #2 dedicated for the Mix window; and the iMac’s monitor reserved for opening plugins. When I open a session, both the Mix and Edit windows tile on top of each other on the iMac’s monitor. Then, I have to drag both the Mix and Edit windows back to their respective monitors. I don’t know if this is a Protools issue or a Mac issue? Does any one know a fix for this? Thanks,

Re: issue with Expanded Desktop (3 Monitors)
Hi, it's a common problem and people have workarounds that seem to work if you search the forums. What works for me is to not drag the screens completely to the edges of the monitor.

Re: issue with Expanded Desktop (3 Monitors)
Ok, thank you cwsand for the great information.
OH, while I'm on the subject of placing certain windows on their respective monitors.... Since I'm now running (3) monitors, every time I create new tracks, the "new tracks" window always pops-up on the iMac screen. Is it possible to have have the "new tracks" window default to popping-up on one of the other two screens?? The reason I'm asking this is because my control room setup is configured in an "L" shape: the main console with the (2) Dell screens (Protool's edit and mix windows) are facing one-way and the iMac is sitting on another desk 90 degrees off to my right. Each time I create a new track the "new tracks" window pops-up on the iMac screen. I would like the "new tracks" pop-up window to open on one of the Dell screens (not the iMac) Is this Possible??? thanks,

I recall .1* My 3 displays with my setup, my way. Ps. It would be nice if all came back as last used
