Pro Tools 12 Interface help!

Okay so I had everything set up fine and working two months ago haven't touched it for a while when I was off college I'm a performing music student so I can get my way around the program to a degree.

HOWEVER I rebooted my subscription fired it up and I can't get my interface to work with the program when it previously worked. I am getting a horrible white noise when I hit record with the input selected, my interface has the most recent drivers for the Fast Track Duo but still not working, help please!

UPDATE

The problem is now I'm getting horrible distorted sound through my monitors, I am able to record but the sound is awful.

My interface works fine recording in Garage band just Pro Tools throws a fit at it.

That's a start but need more like amount of ram, specific Mac you're running, what's the system drive (is it a Fusion drive - they are death to PT), etc. Just because your setup works okay in the Apple supplied Garageband doesn't mean it will work with PT. You need a separate hard drive for PT to record to - using the system drive unless you have the large ssd setup is a no-no. I don't think PT12.0 is approved for OSX 10.10.4 - you may need to get the latest version of PT12.

Thing is it used to work totally fine? Could it be the newest version of Yosemite screwing it up?

Okay made a discovery, I can get normal fine playback through my MacBook 's speakers its just when it is going though my interface get awful sound.
