Pro Tools 11 and Blackmagic Decklink

I am having similar problems with video playback. Scrubbing is at 1 or 2 frames per second. Video is out of sync and stutters. We have upgraded all our plugins (waves, izotope etc.) to go to pro tools 11, but video playback is the only reason left to stay with pro tools 10! Except for the Eucon driver issues mentioned somewhere else on this forum.

This issue should be fixed in Pro Tools 11.0.2. From the Read Me, "Enabling and disabling video hardware during scrub now work properly with third-party video hardware." There are other outstanding scrub issues with video that are being investigated. As for a lack of recording video in Pro Tools 11, for now the solution is to continue to use PT 10.3.6 or higher. That's one of the reasons Pro Tools 10 and 11 co-install is supported.

I do understand but why get rid of a feature such as that just to use a video engine (Media Composer) that obviously is not as good with PT as the previous video engine? Scrubbing is a HUGE part of video post which is probably the largest # of users of PT.

Also since PT 11 uses media composers engine does that mean everything you import is actually going to run at broadcast 29.97 or 59.94 like Media Composer? It has been an issue when capturing at 30fps and Media Composer makes it run at 29.97 and then exports at 30..... This is obviously not so accurate adding or removing a frame every 1000 by duplicating or dropping.

What can we expect for the future PT11? Will bringing video capture back be an option? Ideascale seems to be a joke unless you have thousands of people demanding something.... just saying.
