Default Creating DAE Objects/DAE Loaded!! errors errors HELP!!!!!

Hi folks i've got a big issue here if you guys can help me i'll be very gratefull indeed.. here goes ok! i just got my MacBook Pro 17"2.4 Ghz 2 gigs ram and the MAudio 1814 and installed Protools MPower 7.3 then did the update to 7.3.1 and now i have 7.3.1cs5.... first thing i've noticed is that i get shut down once i have a firewire 800 cable running coming from my Macbook Pro to 2 external drives and i kept being shut down on the MacBook Pro once i try to load a session from the 2 external drives connecting to firewire 800....anyway i decided to just use the firewire 400 on the back of the M-Audo 1814 instead and all sessions played as long as i don't have any of the drives plugged into the firewire 800 port, is there an issue with firewire 800 and the M-Audio 1814???

Anyway that was all just last night ok, my next big thing is this morning i got up and started my system only to not be able to get pass creating DAE or loading DAE for some reason Protools freezes up and i can only force quit Protools after that, so any idea's out there in tech land ??? i already uniinstaled M-Audio 1814 reinstalled it etc etc removed Preferences for Digidesign and M-audio repaired disk permissions and now i still can't even get Protools to complete startup and i realy thought i had serious problems last night but today has started realy bad for me help help help

To answer your first question, yes, there is a known conflict, you need a FireWire expansion card. This FAQ was on the main page of M-Audio's Knowledge Base:

Not sure on the bigger problem. Did you install any updates from Apple?
