Default Problems Loading Sample Tank

Sorry if this has been posted before or redundant info, but I have been everywhere (it seems) & have yet to get an answer to this question. I have a Digi 001 running on Windows 98, PT ver. 5.1.1 & I cannot get it to see Sample Tank LE. The loading instructions are the most vague I have ever seen & I have a feeling that certain folders/files need to be redirected to different roots, etc. Pardon my ignorance on this, but I have never had any trouble loading software/samples to any other program or hardware before and this is getting ridiculous. I can install XP Pro & the latest ver. of PT LE if need be. Anybody? Thanks!

I appreciate the info, but looking at the case it says under sys. req. that it's compatible with all Windows platforms from 95 on up. I am going to go ahead & put the new OS in & the latest PT LE anyway to see what happens. So far I am VERY disappointed with this product for lack of information & overkill in the registration department, not to mention the abundance of flaws & bugs I have read about in user forums (too late for me, eh?).

Windows®
Minimal: 733Mhz Pentium® III/Athlon™ with 512MB of RAM, Windows® 2000 /XP, 1024x768 screen thousands of color, 4.8GB of hard-disk space. Suggested: 2.4 GHz Intel Pentium® IV/Athlon™ with 1GB of RAM.

IMO if its not running right and on the website it says this I would go with the website. Good luck hopefully it all works out

in 5.1.1, I believe the folder was Program Files - Digidesign - DAE - Plug-ins. Search your HD for sampletank.dpm and relocate it. If it is in the right place, try rebooting and then opening PT.

Again thanks guys. Let me clarify LP, I believe you are talking about the full version of Sample Tank 2 as opposed to the LE version that was supplied with my purchase. I have the Guitar Collection which came with LE software that allows it to run as a RTAS insert. According to the supplied info (which is brief) & specs on Digi's & ST's website this is supposed to run on any Windows system from 95 on up.
Cliff, I do not see a .dpm file, but I do see a .dll driver. Here's the breakdown: VstPlugins/IK Multimedia/ (assorted pdf & notebook files, plus, that .dll file) and a folder labeled as "Sample Tank Instruments/ (breaks down from here to other folders with the actual sample folders & files).
Again, I do have the ability to put XP Pro & PT LE 6 (or whatever version) on this system. Thanks!

Thats your problem .dll's are VSTs and .dpm's are RTAS. Reinstall the ST app and pay careful attention to load the RTAS driver during the install and place it in the folder I mentioned. It will then appear as an Insert.

No .dpm file anywhere. I see what you mean as far as those being the RTAS files, however, there is not one to be found even though this plug in says it's for RTAS. Wrong packaged copy perhaps, for VST only?
