Default Re: Dual monitor setup question

sorry to bring up this topic again, but my 12.8 vanilla on sierra 10.12.5 won't open my mixer on the second screen ever, something weird is going on, any ideas how to troubleshoot? I recently replaced a faulty monitor with the same model and it seems this could have caused it, I had this issue less frequently before, but now I have it all the times, basically I save a project with the mixer on my 2nd screen, and my plugins on a 3rd screen, and when opening the plugins are nicely where they are supposed to be on the 3rd screen, but the mixer is behind the edit window on the 1st screen, everytime, a little nuisance, nothing mayor but still annoying.

I've noticed this on my Sierra 10.12.5/ PT HDX 12.8.0 partition as well. This is my test partition as I'm finishing several projects on my proven & solid EC 10.11.6/ PT HD 12.6.1 partition.

I run 3 monitors, edit on the default monitor and mixer stretched across the other two. On my proven EC/PT HDX 12.6.1 partition - all sessions place windows on their intended screens. On the test Sierra/ PT HDX 12.8.0 partition - I experience what you're describing - with the same session opened on both partitions. Currently I use a "moom" preset to restore things to their intended screen for the Sierra/12.8 partition - but I agree - it's a PITA.

I haven't tried Janne's window set suggestion - however, there are window sets within the sessions (unless these are not stored within the session - I set and forget them and have not checked explicitly) - and since I use the same sessions in both partitions - I would expect that they flow through.

Sierra 10.12.5/ PT HDX 12.8.0
3 displays (AMD or Nvidia-Mac) cards.

HD12.8 Window configs not recalling accurately to all 3 displays.
Stacks 3rd display onto main display.
