From where I'm seating, it really seems that people who are bashing HDX around here are plain jealous ..... I know cause I was .... So I decided that if I can't beat them I'll join them.... I opened a mix I did with the accel system a few weeks ago.... The CPU was at 65% and the HD cards where screaming..... Lots of waves , lots of softube and McDsp .... I opened the same mix on the HDX .... It took 10 seconds from the point I clicked the session icon until I started hearing music..... 70 % of plugins where converted to rtas.... And Heat & channel strip and some stuff from sonnox where on dsp.... - native showed 15% usage.... And dsp had only 2 chips..... Wonderful..... HD ACCEL is still great... HDX. Is 100 times better....
Congratulations! I'll admit it. I'm jealous. (Not an HDX user yet but plan to be)

I'm curious as to why the CPU went from 65% to 15% when you were now running more RTAS plug-ins off the CPU.

Mc DSP runs on my card and the DIGI suspect

So far I was able to open most of my old HD3 project .Just had to recreate the Verb and FX from Eventide Anthology to Eventide HD800FW

I did buy an omni as well... But I upgraded ... So I gave away my 3 HD Accel cards and old 96I/O

Psmworld : I really don't know what are you talking about... My system is more stable then it has been for a while now.... Maybe somthing is wrong with your preferences? System setup ?
There should not be so many errors .... I do get some.... And protools crashed once... But over all everything is more responsive and fast..... Maybe due to my 8 cores?
