Default S5 Aux to EFX

I am having an issue configuring Aux's to send to external EFX.

I have TC System 6000 physically connected to AES Ch1-8 on FC727 OUT-C on 1st DSP card. In Patchnet I have patched the following.

Console IO, Aux Busses - Selected 1st 8 channels on OUT (Source)
Destinations, OUT-C to FC727 - Selected 1st 8 channels (Destination) and patch
Console IO, A and B Inputs - Select 65-72 on B input (Destination)
Sources, IN-B from FC727 (Source) and patch

Turn up the Aux sends 1-8 on various tracks. No input meters on the TC Reverb

In the Aux Master I see meters for Ch3-8 but no meters for ch1-2 even though I have aux sends on ch1-2 turned up and active on the S5 desk.

Does anyone have experience using external EFX on a S5 who can shed some light?

Thanks

After spending a few days with Avid support on this issue I decided to disassemble the FC727 only to find a ribbon cable connector loose on the board. Reseating this connector resolved the issue.
