Default groove tubes AM62 - anyone??

I recently threw down on the digi001 & various other goodies including the DBX576 preamp/compressor-I was thinking about the GT
AM62 tube mike - any seasoned pro's have experience with or opinions on either
piece??
advance thanks
crowdog

I have an AM61 fixed pattern in my home studio...it's is GREAT!!! I have it going thru the Focusrite Platim=num Voice Master....both the mic and voice box cost me less than some name tube mics alone!

I love the GT and I recomed it to anyone looking for a quaility mic for under a grand

I was able to use one on a vocal session last week on a rock project. VERY Bright with a boost on the top end. It did not fit the sound I was going for, but great sound for female vocals or acoustic guitar. I want one.

I don't use it on instruments...I'm a voice over guy...so it's just used for that...

It's warm...but I'm thinking of buying an AudioTechnica 4066 (condenser) to pair up with it...since It's a tube mic it requires it's own power supply and warm up time (usually 15 minutes)
Other than that...it's SWEET!

I personally prefer the original Groove Tube Mics over the Alesis GT offers.
