Newest Macbook Pro - Will it run PT?

Simple answer Yes/No?

I wonder:
1. If the OS is too new can it be reverted to something that works?
2. Will it run with the new OS, but just not 100% compatible.
3. What does Avid recommend?

Sardi! Thanks for the quick reply. I did google the duc but unfortunately, many threads were similar but for older macbook pros. I guess the real question is, can I install an older version of the OS on a new macbook pro? I know that the last two Mac OSX releases are still not on the compatible list. Googled the DUC for that one too but only got older threads.

Any takers?

You can install as old version of mac os that was with the hardware initial release. With that said, my testing shows that 10.14.1 behaves very well with PT so use that and wait for official compatibility update

Before you go flattening a new system, why not try install PT and see what happens? I run it just fine on my mac pro w mojave and I think it will run just fine on any out of box macbook pro.
