Default pro tools first will not let me sign in

When i launch pro tools first it goes thru all the steps then gets to the dashboard. there it has all my projects in blue, not just the 3 i've saved to the cloud. when i go to 'create' it wont let me add another project. my user ico in the right corner says not online. when i hover on this it says signout

This may have more to do with the three cloud project limit in PTF than an account problem. You need to free up a cloud project slot in order to create another one. Look in the PTF manual for how to save projects locally and free up cloud projects.

Thanks but I don't think that's it. It finally let me sign on but now on the very bottom left of my edit screen it will say 'no internet connection' untill it says 'online' or something like that. it seems to be saving my work so i'm happy about that! also, when i close, sometimes it will open protools again right away

My experience is the AVID Cloud server is very shaky sometimes. Very often it asks me to connect to the Internet. Too bad that I can't yell back "How about YOU connect to the Internet". THen after a couple of tries, it finally connects or sometimes disconnects again.

It is really frustrating with those little, but essential things that don't work reliably.

Please answer the following questions, otherwise we can not find out what is going on.

What version of Pro Tools First you are on?
What OS you are using?

Fine, then you are on Pro Tools First 2020.9. In this version you can create unlimited projects locally on your PC.

Please take a look at this AVID Video how to do.

Hope that helps.
