Default Building stock midi/arpeggiator patterns

Hi all,

Wondering if anyone might have any ideas about this.

I am currently in a situation where I'm having to throw together short songs really fast. The thing that always take me the longest is the bass lines-- primarily because I am not a bass player.

What I'd love to do is assemble a catalog of stock bass patterns that I can trigger with a single note. Basically, like what you would do with an arpeggiator or the way the "bass" works in Apple's garage band app.

I have PT11, Komplete and Ableton Live at my disposal.

What I've been doing so far is building the patterns as midi clips. But then I have to transpose manually for each chord change. I've also tried building/saving the pattern's in FM8's arpeggiator, but the interface is clunky for this method.

Alternatively, does anyone know of an aax/rtas arpeggiator that allows you to drag and drop a midi clip into it?

Many thanks!

Someone has probably written a kontakt script that does exactly what you are asking for. I would do some google searches for KSP scripts, there are a few guys like Nils Liberg that have sites dedicated to KSP scripting, and they usually have a few free scripts you can download from their site.

I don't use Ableton, but I think it might also be able to do this.

The arpeggiator inside kontakt is nice along with retrigger etc. I didn't even know it was there for a long time if I'm honest :)
